First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at True Mental Health Services.
Case Manager
They had me do a personality test after watching a video. Then, during the in-person interview, I had to fill out forms for a background check. The interviewer seemed awkward and lacked social skills. It was also unprofessional that they scheduled another candidate at the same time; I think they might have mixed up the team lead who was supposed to interview us. This whole experience really highlighted how unorganized the company is.
- Were there any instances where you left a previous job on bad terms?
Social Worker
It was an in-person interview. They really focused on personality and character. Expect situation-based questions to see if you're a good fit. You should be ready to explain scenarios, not just answer general questions.
- Tell me about times you had to show specific character traits.
Community Case Manager
The interview process was fast. I first had a face-to-face interview with two women. They mentioned they had more interviews to do and I might get a call back. Then, I got an email for a Skype call with the director for another interview. Soon after, I received my offer letter. The whole thing probably took less than two weeks for sure.
- What motivates you to work in mental health?
QMHP
The interview process will include many crisis-related questions. Your answers will determine if you advance to the next stage. You'll also be presented with various real-life scenarios. They want to see how you ensure safety, maintain ethics during a crisis, and support clients through their challenges. It's advised to familiarize yourself with mental health concepts and coping strategies.
- What are your strategies for managing a client in crisis?
