It was easy, just be confident and know your food and drinks. Make sure you know about common allergies. Be ready to hustle and be a team player. Show that you pay attention to the details in food and drink recipes.
- Can you share an instance where you exceeded expectations to assist a guest?

The interviewer seemed to feel threatened by my confidence. They asked if I'd be starting as a to-go specialist, and I said yes, but added that with my work ethic, I doubted I'd be behind the counter for long since I've always moved up quickly and give everything my all. The interviewer's response was, 'There's a fine line between confidence and cockiness,' which really put me off the job. Honestly, I was glad not to hear back, even though the manager said he'd let me know in 3 days. The staff seemed cool and it's a place I like to eat at, but I'll never go to the El Segundo location.
- Do you have prior serving experience, and how do you handle working in busy settings?

The interview process was open. About 50 people showed up on the 3rd day of interviews. I got there 15 minutes early, dressed sharp. They greeted me and gave me an application to fill out. I then waited about 15 minutes to be interviewed. With my resume in hand, I answered questions given by a very rude woman/manager. I almost left mid-interview because she was so abrasive, realizing that I wouldn't ever want to work for this food chain.
- Can you share an instance where you exceeded expectations in a previous role?
