& Process

The process began with an on-campus drive where my resume was shortlisted. Following that, I was asked some fundamental mechanical engineering questions, covering topics like the Rankine cycle. After the technical questions, they inquired about my preferences and then had a casual conversation with me regarding those preferences.

The interview process consisted of four rounds. Initially, there was an aptitude test combined with a psychology test. This was followed by a group discussion (GD). After that, a technical interview was conducted. Finally, an HR interview took place. All the first three rounds were completed properly. Out of 19 candidates who were selected after these rounds, the last HR round was held at the company's headquarters in Bangalore. The interview itself was just okay, but the results for it were never disclosed. It's been two months since that interview, and we still haven't received any results.

It was an open campus recruitment. It began online with about 1200 students participating throughout the day in batches. The top 4 students from each batch were directly selected for technical interviews. The next 20-30 students were selected for an Extempore round. I wasn't lucky enough to get a direct interview, so I had to go through the Extempore round, which I cleared. After that, I got the chance to appear for the Technical interview. Over 60 students were interviewed in the following 3 days by experienced technocrats from the firm, with each interview lasting about 45 minutes on average. Finally, a list of 10 students was shortlisted for the final HR interview at the main headquarters in Bangalore.

So, the interview process was: first an online tech test, then we had a group discussion about general topics, followed by a technical round where they asked about my favorite subjects and engineering projects, and finally, a combined HR and technical round.
