So I had my recruiter screen first, then a tech round focusing on coding. They gave me two coding questions, and I got both of them to work with the correct output. The interviewer seemed pretty junior and was more focused on syntax than logic, which made me think they might not have strong tech skills. Trinet could potentially lose out on good candidates if this is how they do their interviews.

So first I had a phone screen with a recruiter, it was just general stuff about my skills and what I've done before. She mentioned they'd get back to me about scheduling the next steps, and it would take a while. True to her word, it was about a month and a half after the initial call. Then, I had three rounds: a technical interview, a system design round, and finally, I think it was with the director. The technical part involved solving some easy to medium problems, like one specifically about manipulating array elements. A couple of weeks after that, I heard back from the recruiter with the job offer. The whole process was pretty slow, but it ended well.

I applied online and got set up for a phone interview. It was 30 minutes with a manager, followed by a technical interview that went on for over an hour. Most of the questions were about Java, Spring, and Hibernate. Then, I was scheduled for an all-day onsite interview from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. I felt I did well given my decade-plus experience with their tech stack. After two weeks of no news, I emailed to ask about my application. They replied quickly saying they were interviewing others and would keep me posted. A month later, I emailed again. I got no response and never heard back. Really let down by how the process went. At least an update on my rejection would have been professional, not just silence.
