First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TriNet.
Sales
This was a really quick interview process, which was nice. It started with a phone screening with the recruiter, which was actually more detailed than I anticipated. She was super friendly, positive, and enthusiastic, even sending me a lot of info and tips before my next interview. That next interview was with the director. Right from the start, she came off as condescending and like she didn't want to be there. She told me I lacked the necessary experience and suggested I consider an SDR role, despite my 6+ years in sales. I had invested a lot of time studying and preparing, so it felt like a complete waste of my time.

Sales Representative
First, you have to do a recorded interview that walks you through different scenarios and you have to show how you would handle these scenarios. You can record as many times as you want but it's fairly extensive. Once I passed that then I had to do interviews with many people. In my case it was all on zoom, thankfully. But I literally did about 7 rounds of interviews which was brutal! I was coming from a different industry, so I get they had to make sure I was the right fit, but still, it seemed a bit much.
- Are you aware of the learning curve, coming from a different industry?
Sales Operations
Had an initial call with a recruiter, then a second round with hiring managers, and a third call with directors. The conversation with the hiring manager went really well, but the call with the directors felt a bit off. The questions asked throughout were quite good. The overall process was fine, though I didn't get an onsite invitation or any feedback on why.
- Can you share an instance of a customer issue you encountered and describe your solution?
