First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TriNet.
Client Service Associate
It started with a recruiter interview that went well. Then there was a video interview with 9 questions. After that, I had a phone interview with a Manager. She was very open about the company's challenges, workload, and lack of work-life balance, which confirmed some negative reviews I'd read. The next step was a face-to-face with 2 managers and 2 associates, but only one manager showed up and seemed surprised to see me. Nobody had questions prepared. The manager asked me to talk about myself, then asked an associate if she had questions, who said 'No'. The interview lasted about 35 minutes. The manager emphasized teamwork, which seemed contradictory given the situation. They confirmed the negative reviews, and the manager expressed concern I was too HR-focused for the role. I didn't get an offer.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- Have you ever had to give presentations?
- Can you share an instance where you made a special allowance for a customer?
Client Services
Got contacted by the recruiter on messaging. Had a chat with the recruiter, did a phone screen, then another phone interview with a manager. Interviewed with a sales manager in the office nearby, then met the director of the division. Everyone was great to talk to, really sold me on the company. But they had me give them references that they checked, really pushed for me to accept, sold me hard on the position and then offered it to someone else.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Client Services Specialist
I applied online and then got an email a few days later to set up a 30 minute phone interview. It was to go over the company, the job, and to confirm my resume details. Then I got another email for a manager interview. That interview was like a STAR questionnaire and went over what the company is all about. After that, I got an email to set up a peer interview and job shadowing. The peer interview was similar to the manager interview, and I did job shadowing for 30 minutes to see the applications they use. The next day, I got an email to go to a third-party site and put in five references, four coworkers and one supervisor.
- It was a very standard and informative interview.
