First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Trimble.
Quality Assurance
I had an initial phone call with a recruiter, then three more interviews with the QA team. The whole thing took just over a month. There was a short tech test after the recruiter call, which wasn't too hard.
- Suppose you were involved in integrating new products into our current setup; what key areas would you focus on?
Quality Engineer
HR reached out first to set up interviews with the hiring manager. It took a bit over a week to get the first call scheduled. The job description seemed pretty general, but the questions were way more technical than I expected, not really matching what was written. This company focuses on creating new products and growing through acquisitions. It seemed like the newer folks are pretty genuine, but the long-time employees are a bit tougher. I got the feeling that everyone works hard and is paid pretty well.
- Can you discuss your familiarity with various Six Sigma tools?
- Please assess your experience with each of the Six Sigma tools presented.
- The job description mentioned basic tools, what is your experience with those?
Software QA Engineer
I did a pretty hard QA assignment first. Then I had a one-hour interview with the hiring manager, which went well. The next day, the recruiter emailed me, saying the hiring manager was impressed. After that, I had another interview with a different manager. I thought that one went okay, but the next day I got an email saying my communication skills weren't good enough.
- What are some average questions about technology?
- Can you discuss agile?
- What about processes?
