I interviewed with the administrator and a DON, and then they had me come back for a second interview with the charge nurse and ADON. I got a tour of the place and met some of the staff.

The whole application and interview process took about two weeks. They misplaced my paperwork twice. What was supposed to be a job shadow with a nurse turned into me working for four hours as a CNA because they were short-staffed. They didn't pay me for this work. The supervisory staff were cold and unfriendly. They told me I wasn't 'Trilogy' material, despite my 25 years of experience as a Long Term Care nurse. Some friends mentioned that this place doesn't hire people unless they look good, or they never hear back after applying, with phone calls often going unanswered. I wasn't impressed, especially since this is a new facility.

The recruiter called and was interested in interviewing me for the position, saying he'd call back with a time because he wanted the interview to coincide with a job shadow. He gave me his name and number. After two days of no response, I called and left a voicemail. Another two days passed, and I called again, leaving another voicemail. I considered interviewing at the Sylvania campus, thinking maybe I could interview there, but it turns out the recruiter handles that campus too. Waiting another week to give the benefit of the doubt, I called again and left a message... and nothing. It makes me question the culture at Trilogy if they ignore potential employees; I wonder how they'd respond to concerns about a loved one in their facility.
