First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Trilogy Financial.
Wealth Management
The interview process had three parts. First, a phone call, then a video chat, and finally an in-person meeting. It was a pretty straightforward process and the interviewers were all pretty open and welcoming.
- Can you share three of your strengths and three of your weaknesses?
Financial Executive
I sent in my application online and got contacted within 2-3 days. They asked if I could make it to one of their interview days. The first interview was a group thing where they told us about the company and then the managing partners called us out for a quick 10-15 minute 1 on 1 chat. About 2 days after that, I heard back and they said they wanted me for a second interview. In that meeting, I was interviewed by the regional vice president, and at the end, he offered me the job.
- What motivates your desire to be a financial adviser?
Financial Executive
First off, there was this group info session where they laid out the company and job basics and let us ask stuff. Then, they took us in one by one for a private room chat with an associate for some standard screening questions. Next up was meeting the branch's managing partner for a deeper dive into my background and job expectations, and if I was cool with the terms. They also really dug into whether I knew people with money. The third part was with the branch manager, going over the job description line by line, checking if I agreed to each part. After that, it was getting licensed (Series 6, 63, life insurance) if I wasn't already. Then, a two-week training program specific to Trilogy covering job basics. Finally, I was officially hired as a full-time, salaried employee.
- Tell me about your family and friends and any potential wealth or influence they might possess.
- Are there business owners, professionals like lawyers or doctors, or a judge among your family friends?
Financial Advisor
The interview process involved a one-on-one meeting with the hiring manager. The company primarily grows its client base through referrals. The interviewer mentioned that new Financial Advisors get management support for building their client base, and they provide paid training. The office appears to have a diverse range of people and a welcoming culture.
- Have you ever been convicted of a misdemeanor or felony?
