3 stages, first HR for 45 min about fit and questions, then VP and Manager for 60 min with good vibes and average questions, finally Architects / Technical interview for 90-100 min, also good vibes but lack of context so it's up to you to find the right balance.

So first there was an online assessment, which was a pretty normal test with theoretical and coding questions. Then I had an online interview with a Software Engineer Lead and a Manager. It was also a pretty good conversation with questions about my solution for the online assessment, my experience, and my expectations for the position, etc. I really liked that interview and felt they asked the 'right' questions. I got an invite for an onsite interview and would have loved to accept, but I had already received another job offer by then, so I had to decline.

I had an initial technical discussion via zoom with their IT Management and HR from Vienna. They were professional and patient, explaining the role and products. It felt like an equal opportunity and technically advanced company. After that, I had an in-person meeting with their Head at the Hinjewadi office in late Dec 2018. The reception and access system were poor. The Head was very unprofessional, arrogant, and spoke negatively about my profile and experience, questioning my job changes and trying to pull me down. He seemed uninterested in my answers and acted superior. He basically told me to find another job or start my own. He also asked me to justify leaving previous companies and called my vision shortsighted. He spoke in regional languages, boasted about his own work and negative examples, and compared me to other candidates instead of explaining why Tricentis would be a good place for me. It felt more like an interrogation than a company discussion. I did not get the impression he was knowledgeable or a good leader. He only talked about his own experiences, onsite trips, job hops, and successes. The entire leadership concept is about creating leaders, not followers, yet they expected me to provide my worth without even offering employment. It was a waste of time, and I will not entertain further calls or recommend this company to my network. If there were issues with my resume, they shouldn't have called me for a detailed discussion.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • He suggested I should find a job elsewhere or start my own business, and asked me to explain my reasons for leaving previous companies, finishing with his 'frank opinion'. Is this for real? He called me shortsighted regarding my work vision. He got personal with every clarification, like when I explained relocating for a job, he asked why I left if I could afford to buy property in Bangalore. What kind of cross-examination is this?
