I got the application from my university but had some trouble submitting it because of formatting. It was a bit more complex than it needed to be, but overall a pretty standard application. You need two letters of recommendation, your transcript, some examples of your past work, your resume, and a statement about why you're applying. After submitting, you'll hear back if you got an interview. Lots of people chose to interview in the NYC office if they could, but I did mine over the phone. I got the offer a few weeks later and worked there from early June to early August.

I filled out a detailed application. They really seemed to want to get to know me as a person. Then I went in for an interview with two great people and got the offer. There was some disorganization when the interns started, but the hiring and interview process itself was really structured and clear. The later disorganization wasn't due to lack of planning, but more because of team structure changes, as the ad world has a lot of turnover. The interview had a good balance of questions and answers, and the interviewers were genuine and intimidating in just the right ways.

Maybe because I was a student, the interview was easy. They mostly wanted to know my interests to see where I would fit in.
