First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tresata.
Data Engineer
The interview process included initial questions about the company's verticals and customers, followed by questions about my motivation for joining. I was also asked about my knowledge of Spark, Scala, and Hadoop, and if I've used the command line for development. A case study was presented on how I would handle data, and there were mostly behavioral and technical questions, with no specific programming questions.
- Can you provide an instance of a sector or industry that could gain from using its data?
Data Engineer
The hiring process was very unprofessional. They didn't even have a proper HR, so they assigned an entry-level data engineer to handle HR tasks. After the initial interview, I had to complete an online IQ and behavioral assessment that took hours and felt like a complete waste of time. The subsequent team interview was also really unprofessional. They didn't know how to treat candidates and asked questions like robots without any emotion. They expect you to work 12-hour days and seem to take it for granted. DON'T APPLY!
- What do you know about tresata?
Data Engineer
The hiring process consisted of four parts. It started with a behavioral video chat. Then, there was an online test for personality and logistics, which took about an hour. After that, a panel interview happened, and the final step was meeting with the CEO or CFO.
- When considering priorities, which holds more importance: yourself, your coworkers, or the company?
