First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Trent & Company.
Assistant Account Executive
It was a quick two-step interview process. The phone call felt a bit rushed, like the hiring manager was in a hurry, which was a surprise since I advanced. The next meeting on Zoom was much nicer and the team seemed really friendly. The offer was unfortunately quite low.

Account Executive
This was the most disorganized interview I had ever been to. I interviewed with a senior and junior employee, both of which were completely unprepared and a bit socially awkward. It felt as if they found out they were interviewing me five minutes before I arrived. I essentially had to lead the interview while they sat there staring blankly saying "Uhhh... let me think of something else to ask". So awkward. The disorganization is also reflected heavily in the office space - this is not an "airy Soho loft" - it's a cluttered office with minimal natural light. The receptionists desk is cluttered by boxes and papers and there isn't even sitting room for visitors. I had to stand awkwardly by the door. I was interviewed in a tiny, messy room to which they had to bring chairs into because again, there was no seating space. Overall, it was a depressing atmosphere and I couldn't imagine ever working there. It was a relief to walk out of the office, and after reading the reviews of previous employees, I feel like I really dodged a bullet.
- Could you walk me through your resume?
Assistant Account Executive
This was a super disorganized interview process. One time, the interviewers didn't even show up, which made the whole thing take way longer than they said it would. They aren't looking for someone too qualified because they can't afford to pay for that level of expertise. The interviewers were really rude during the actual interview and didn't even bother to read the case study, which took me at least 2 days to finish.
- What draws you to a career in PR?
- What's your experience with media monitoring tools or techniques?
- Can you share some of your experience with writing, specifically in a professional context?
Client Solutions Manager
It was a really nice interview experience. A recruiter reached out to me for an initial phone chat. Then, I had two in-person interviews. The first one was super laid-back and conversational, where we talked about some of their clients and what they needed. The second one focused more on digital implementation. The whole process moved pretty fast and they made decisions quickly.
- What are your career aspirations for your next position?
- Could you describe your preferred working style?
- What specific areas do you consider your expertise?
