First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Trek Bicycle.

Interview process was casual and seemed to go smooth. First I was contacted by phone for preliminary details. The second follow up interview came within 2 weeks. The 3rd and final interview took place a month after the 2nd interview. The process in total was well over a month. Like many others comments, I was ghosted by Trek and only heard back when I followed up. There is a clear lack of respect for applicants time through the interview process. It's especially disheartening for anyone who has made it to the 3rd round of interviews.
- Tell me why you are interested in working at Trek.

So, first I had a call with HR. Then, I did a video interview with the design managers. After that, it was like a virtual onsite, a long day of interviews from 10:30 am to 5 pm with breaks, talking to different people and departments via video. They asked typical questions, and I felt it went well. But, radio silence after that last interview until two and a half months later. The whole application to no offer thing took five and a half months. Communication was pretty minimal from HR and the design teams during that whole stretch, even though I tried to reach out.
- Regarding the teams at Trek, which one would be your preference to join?
Designer
The whole process from applying to getting hired took about a month. I had an initial phone call with HR, and then the department called me a week after that. The first interview happened another week later. About 10 days after that, I got an email saying I got the job. The interview itself was pretty standard with friendly questions and a relaxed vibe. It started as a one-on-one and then turned into a group interview.
- Could you tell us a bit about yourself?
- Can you describe a challenging situation you faced?
- What are your thoughts on design?
