Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Trapeze Group.
Software Engineer
Had a 30 min chat with HR for the first round. Then a 1 hr session with the Team for the second round. They asked some behavioral questions, a C# question about the 4 pillars of oops and SOLID principles, and SQL queries (select, delete, update, Like). Also asked to code in C#.
- Could you describe the 4 pillars of oops?
- Could you explain SOLID principles?
- Can you write SQL queries for select, delete, and update operations?
Senior Software Engineer
First, a team member will chat with you about the project and their team, trying to make you feel comfortable. There will be some C++ technical questions and online coding challenges. Then, you'll have a broader team interview with several team members, including Managers and Leads. More technical and coding challenges will be presented. The final interview is with the Manager and Director, covering basic technical and behavioral questions. Lastly, HR will check in, confirm everything went well, and discuss salary, promising a response in 2 days. Unfortunately, after 4 rounds, they ghosted me, wasting everyone's time.
- Tell me about C++ virtual functions.
- Can you complete some basic coding challenges?
- Can you share some details about your past projects and work?
Software Developer Intern
I had an on-campus, in-person interview for the software developer intern role. It was about 30 minutes long and overall a good experience. There were a lot of conversations and behavioral questions, and the interviewers were nice.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
