Customer Success Manager
So I had my first interview with the internal talent team, then a second one with two managers. It was about 20 minutes into the interview when I realized it wasn't the right fit for me. The interview was super focused on drilling through process and sales-related questions, instead of being a conversation to get to know me or understand my success as a CSM. I'd suggest equipping interviewers with questions that allow for a more balanced dialogue. The whole experience felt pretty rigid and unpleasant.
- What are the stages of a sales cycle?
Helpdesk Technician
It was a nice chat, they seemed really friendly and approachable. They answered my questions about the job and the company, and how everything is structured. A good portion of the interview focused on technical experience and competency, which was a bit unexpected since it wasn't mentioned in the job description.
- Can you tell me what you know about our company?
Senior Software Engineer
First, a team member will chat with you about the project and their team, trying to make you feel comfortable. There will be some C++ technical questions and online coding challenges. Then, you'll have a broader team interview with several team members, including Managers and Leads. More technical and coding challenges will be presented. The final interview is with the Manager and Director, covering basic technical and behavioral questions. Lastly, HR will check in, confirm everything went well, and discuss salary, promising a response in 2 days. Unfortunately, after 4 rounds, they ghosted me, wasting everyone's time.
- Tell me about C++ virtual functions.
- Can you complete some basic coding challenges?
- Can you share some details about your past projects and work?
Project Coordinator
It was a really pleasant interview, not the typical formal questions. Instead, it was more like a conversation about my experience in relation to the job description. The interview panel included two managers, one from the business unit and one from delivery. They were both easy to talk to and made me feel really comfortable. I got to ask a lot of questions about the role and got all the information I was looking for.
- What are your key skills?
- Can you discuss your past experience?
