I interviewed with a bunch of employees and management folks. Then there was a background check. After that, I had to give a summary of my accomplishments, focusing on my Acquisition & Property Management Experience. I've been in real estate for over 15 years, working with companies like Transwestern, BJB Partners, and Draper & Kramer. I even brokered a $14 million note on 110 condos in Miami and helped stabilize that asset. I've managed a lot of properties – over 40 condos, apartment buildings, and office buildings. Now I'm a commercial real estate broker and owner of Prospect Equities International and The Van Buren Group. My education includes an AMDP from Harvard and an MBA from the University of Florida, plus a bachelor's in Business and Accounting from DePaul. I'm a licensed broker in FL and IL. As for current projects, I founded The Van Buren Group, a boutique firm for acquisition, management, and brokerage. I've brokered over 40 commercial properties worth $70 million. Before that, I was a 50% owner and broker partner at Interra Real Estate Services, focusing on apartments, shopping centers, and development sites in Chicago. Since moving to Miami in 2009, I've focused on NNN leased property, condo portfolios, and distressed debt. I also brokered that $14 million note backed by 110 condos, helping stabilize it through lease-up, management, and sales.
