Software Engineer
It was a really fun and collaborative interview process. The leads and managers were super helpful and supportive, and I could easily ask them about the day-to-day tasks and responsibilities. The questions were about oops, selenium, and webdriverIO.
- Can you define oops and provide an example?
- Could you explain the concept of oops with an example?
- What is webdriverIO?
Software Engineer
Had a first interview, a 15 min call with two software engineers where they asked general programming questions. Second interview, same general programming questions again (they always ask the same ones) plus two rounds of live coding. The team environment seemed pretty bad, lots of people seemed to be kissing up to the director and asking permission for everything. Seems like the team lacks experience in conducting interviews, and some people, including the director, had a bad attitude. Their software engineering skills could also use improvement. The pay they offer for a senior engineer is ridiculously low. Only interview with them if you want practice, don't be serious about joining this company. It's clear the culture is toxic and working with many of them would be a nightmare.
- Given a program with events, one firing an exception, ensure all events still execute.
- Can you remove all odd numbers from a list?
- Transform a string like '12345 hours ago' into '12345h ago', '14 months ago' into '14M ago', and '14 minutes ago' into '14m ago'?
Software Engineer
The recruiter was great, but the in-person interview was a mess. Three interviewers seemed like they hadn't seen my resume before, asking questions about it right at the start. Then they gave me a paper with coding questions to answer by hand. The questions themselves weren't too hard, but the interviewers were mostly chatting about their vacations and kids' colleges, which was pretty distracting. It's a shame because I was really interested in the role, but the lead devs left a poor impression.
- Given Fizzbuzz, can you code it?
- Can you reverse a string?
- Can you reverse an integer?
