Sales
Recruiter in Cali guided me through each step, and we stayed in touch. Phone interviews with higher-ups were short. The in-person interview was casual, detailed, and interactive. The tests weren't tough if you're smart and capable. You do need to fit their profile, but there are many ways to do that. They're assessing your intelligence, presentation, and interests because that's what matters in sales. If you're missing any of these, they likely won't hire you, which was my mindset. I had a good experience, and the process was fast, which was appreciated. It was nice that it was less formal but still focused. Big thanks to the recruiter in Cali, he really made a difference.
- Why are you interested in sales?
- Can you show me why you want to be in sales?
- What other types of roles were you looking into?
Sales
I got a surprise call from HR for a quick 10-minute screening where they asked me some basic stuff like my 5-year goals, salary expectations, my biggest success, and my biggest flaw. Then, they scheduled me for another phone interview the next day and also gave me a homework assignment with 3 essay questions. The second phone interview was pretty much the same questions as before. They asked me who I'd want to have dinner with from the past, which was a bit unexpected since I usually only get asked for one person, if any.
- If you could invite three people from history to have dinner with, who would they be?
- Describe a time you felt embarrassed and how you dealt with that situation.
Sales
I applied online and then heard back from the Recruiter via email. Then, I had a phone screen with the Recruiter. After that, I had another phone screen with the Manager of the team. The next step was an on-site panel interview with three people from the office: the Director, a Manager, and a Team member. Then I had a member from the Corporate office. Finally, I met with the VP of TransPerfect, who was the only difficult part because he was rude and cut me off. He only gave me about 20 seconds to answer any question.
- Can you tell me about your strengths?
- What about your weaknesses?
