First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TransPerfect.
Account Executive
The hiring process started off pretty quick and organized. There were five stages total, and I made it to the fourth. Most of the time, HR was easy to get in touch with and kept me in the loop. But after my last interview, I emailed to check on my application status and just... nothing. No reply at all, no updates, no real ending. It was a bummer because I'd seen similar things in other reviews, so experiencing it myself was disappointing. Being left hanging without any feedback or final word after several interviews and a test just didn't feel right, especially after putting in the effort. At the very least, people deserve to know if they got the job or not. During the interviews, a few managers kept talking about expecting people to work past 5 PM and to really 'own' their work. While dedication is key, it felt a bit off considering the salary they mentioned, around €32k a year, which is pretty low for Paris. The vibe felt more like a US company culture than a French one, and honestly, the talk about working extra hours made me worry about work-life balance.

Account Executive
I had a bad feeling about interviewing at TransPerfect because I'd heard negative things about their office and management, but I wanted to check it out myself. When I got there for my interview, it seemed like they'd forgotten I had an appointment. I was 15 minutes early but ended up waiting over 30 minutes to speak with anyone. They didn't seem to put much effort into the interview. Three different managers interviewed me, and they mostly asked the same questions, like they just wanted to get it done. It's an inside sales job where you call potential customers all day for really low pay. By the end, I didn't really want the job anymore, but I thanked them and left. They emailed me the next day saying they didn't think I had enough experience and would move on, even though I had over two years of sales experience before graduating college.
- How many sales did you make at your previous company?
Account Executive
The process was easy in terms of structure and time. Started with a call with the HR recruiter, then an onsite with the hiring manager and sales ops manager. Had a call with the VP of sales, followed by an onsite with the VP of sales and the head of deposition services group.
- Can you tell me about your sales background?
- Can you walk me through your career progression?
