after a phone call with the recruiter i had an interview via zoom, done by one of the directors. the interview included representing my self and the things i done, and developed to technical and architectural related conversation. for example why using this environment than the other, what design we used to solve issue that we had in my last job etc. very dynamic
- How do you approach handling errors from external APIs?
Senior Software Engineer
The process involved a phone call with the team lead, two technical interviews, and an interview with the VP and HR. They repeatedly mentioned being in the office. The final offer was about 20% lower than my request, citing budget shifts. They were unwilling to negotiate, making it a waste of time. This seems to be a common occurrence based on Glassdoor reviews.
- Given a piece of code, explain its functionality.
Software Engineer
I had a phone call interview and an onsite interview, which were standard for initial interviews. After those, I received a take-home test. The test instructions were very brief. I asked the tech lead for clarification, and they provided additional requirements not initially stated in the instructions. I submitted the test and was rejected. Upon requesting feedback, I discovered even more requirements that were not inferable from the original test instructions. I've done many take-home tests at other companies, and this was by far the worst experience.
- Could you describe a project you've completed?
