I signed up with Google but created a customer account instead of a transcriptionist account. I immediately made a new account with my other email for the transcriptionist role. Big mistake! I studied for 6 hours and passed exams in both French and English. After waiting a day, they said they detected 'fraudulent activity' and banned me for life. They claimed it's against the rules to have two accounts, even though I never used the first one. They suggested I could have cheated. They lied about the rules, as the FAQ doesn't mention this ban risk. When I explained my mistake, they refused to consider it and stuck to their fraud claim. Avoid this company; they don't value your time and overreact to mistakes. Check Reddit for similar horror stories.

The interview process was quite straightforward, especially when compared to other transcription companies. If you study their provided guide, passing the test should be manageable. However, you're expected to achieve perfect scores on both the 10-question exam and the 3 sample transcriptions. Since it's an open-book exam, you can refer to the material while answering, which is a big plus. The sample transcriptions were the most challenging part. If you make even one mistake across the three samples, you have to start the entire process over, including retaking the 10-question exam. This was the most frustrating aspect.

Seriously, don't bother applying. Do your homework first 'cause pay and common sense differ a lot between platforms. The TranscribeMe test is tough and takes ages to prep for, plus you'll fail even if you ace it. Should've checked reviews before wasting my time. After passing, I got an auto-email saying I broke rules by having multiple accounts or not doing the work myself, which is bogus. My guess is they're overloaded and not taking new people, but they should just close applications then. It's pretty messed up to let people waste so much time for nothing.
