Technical Support Engineer
The whole hiring process was super fast, under a week. Applied last Wednesday, got an interview invite for Friday, then the interview was today, Tuesday, and I got an offer! We joined an adobe connect room (I'd suggest downloading the app beforehand as it can lag in the browser). It was a group interview with me and two other people. After waiting a bit, the interviewer introduced herself and explained the job. She then asked each of us three questions (they were pretty standard interview questions). Afterward, we were moved to breakout rooms for one-on-one chats where she asked about my job experience and schedule flexibility. Then we were all brought back to the main room and they offered all of us jobs! They talked about the training and asked about our preferred shift type (like 8x5 or 10x4). It was a really chill interview, the interviewer was great, and it lasted about an hour but was really informative.
- Can you share an instance where you dealt with an angry customer?
- Describe a situation where you exceeded expectations to assist a customer.
- What would you do if a customer called with a phone that wouldn't turn on, and they insisted they knew more about it than you?
Technical Support Engineer
It was a 3 person candidate interview and then switched to a break room with just one recruiter and myself. Very easy and straight forward, must be done on a computer, no video required.
- Can you describe how you manage challenging customer interactions?
Technical Support Engineer
They started by telling me about the company and the responsibilities of the role. Then, they asked some questions about my previous job, my relationships with management, and my interactions with colleagues. They also checked if I could commit to the training period. Since I missed the deadline to pick my shift, they assigned me one and asked if it worked for me. They were clearly in need of staff, and after I agreed to the assigned shift, they offered me the job right away. The interview was quite simple.
- Tell me about a time you had a difficult customer interaction.
- What was your most challenging work experience with a customer?
- Tell me about your most difficult customer interaction.
