The recruitment experience at Transact was great. It involved three stages: an initial half-hour call to discuss my background, a second, more detailed interview, and a final interview with a brief presentation. The Transact team was welcoming, and the process felt professional without being overly rigid. The interviews were conversational, allowing me to accurately present my experience while also learning about Transact. These interviews were fitting for the role's level. It was a positive experience, and I've since joined Transact and am enjoying my role.

I applied online for the Business Analyst role at Transact. The Recruitment Manager reached out via email to schedule an initial phone interview, which took place three days later. This call was mainly a screening to gauge my basic understanding of the role and Transact. Afterward, I was invited for a first-round interview with the Recruitment Manager and two BA Team Leaders. This interview focused on my grasp of the BA's business role, past projects, methodologies, and examples of successful outcomes. About four days after the first interview, the Recruitment Manager called to invite me for a second interview with the Team Leader (Hiring Manager) and the Department Head. She helpfully pointed out areas for improvement from my first interview and offered suggestions for the second one, which was appreciated. The whole process, from the initial phone call to the offer, was completed in about three weeks, which was impressively fast.

Applied with a Cover letter and a CV. HR communicated clearly and consistently throughout the entire process. The interview was 45 minutes and included a 10-minute presentation, followed by competency questions and time for my questions. I was then given clear timelines and next steps. A follow-up meeting was held to give me constructive feedback, and then I got a job offer. Feedback was also sent in writing, and job acceptance paperwork followed. It was a very simple, stress-free interview, and I never felt intimidated. The work environment seems supportive for success. If I hadn't gotten the job, I'm confident I could have reapplied easily and done better with the feedback.

Behavioral Presentation Technical

The interview process started with a telephone interview which was basic and friendly. This was followed by a face-to-face interview in London. The face-to-face involved a 20-minute presentation on three high-level points, and then a formal interview with the head of department. I thought the presentation would be about market knowledge, presentation skills and content creation, but they focused too much on minor market details which isn't practical for client-facing work. The company seems proud of their market position and different from competitors by being less asset-hungry. They focus on tax and market knowledge, which is good, but they seemed a bit overconfident and dismissive of market changes and competitor success. I felt they might have already favored another candidate with a slightly different background, and this was just a formality. The basic pay is good, but bonuses are low (around 30% of salary). It seems like a good place to work if you fit their culture, as many employees have been there a long time.
