Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Trane Technologies.
Manager
The interview process felt pretty disorganized. I managed to get all the way to the final interview, but then they ended up canceling the role. It was a huge waste of my time prepping for a position that was ultimately going to be abolished. Definitely don't want anyone else to make the same mistake.
- Can you share an instance where you encountered a challenging coworker?
Business Manager
Freshers are mostly hired through campus interviews. For more senior positions, recruitment is typically handled by external consultants.

Service Manager
Recruiter reached out based on my LinkedIn. First interview was with the Regional Manager, focusing on operations, P&L, and margin growth. Then, I interviewed with the branch manager and two division managers (sales and controls). This was a group interview where they asked a lot about my experience, methods, and past successes. After that, we had a lunch, and then they extended an offer.
- What's your approach to managing long-term employees who are underperforming in productivity or accuracy?
