Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Trane Technologies.
Intern
I applied to Trane through my college placement drive. A few students got shortlisted for interviews. Some students got technical questions, and some students got HR questions. Interestingly, only those who had HR rounds got selected, making the process seem a bit inconsistent and not a fair test of skills. It could have been more clear and balanced.
- Do you have experience with SQL and have you worked on any projects?
- Tell me about your projects.
Intern
The interview process was quite lengthy and drawn out. The people I interacted with were pleasant, and overall it was a good experience. I thought they could have been faster in their decision-making earlier in the process. It seems like they had already selected another candidate before they informed me that I wasn't chosen for the position.
- How do you manage disagreements in a work setting
Intern
I had 1 technical round and then an HR round. It was held at my college. They asked about Fibonacci series and python basics. The HR round involved questions about the company and they also talked about the company culture.
- Can you write a program to generate the Fibonacci series?
- What are the basics of Python?
- What do you know about our company?
