I got there 3 minutes late, and the manager was with another interviewer. That's understandable, given I was late. About 40 minutes later, they had gone to lunch. I asked if I could get a new application, but they said no, because the current assistant, who's been there for over 3 months, is being fired for not selling enough.

Behavioral Technical

It was a pretty typical interview with standard questions about your strengths, weaknesses, skills, and experience. They also threw in a tricky problem-solving question. The vibe was pretty casual, and we just chatted in the mall lobby near the store. Actually, the last time I got hired at a different store, they didn't even interview me; they just looked at my past work record.

It wasn't super technical, but it covered the important stuff a hiring manager needs to know to find a good fit.
