First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tradehome Shoes.
Assistant Manager
The interview lasted an hour and was quite thorough. It led to a second and third interview. The interview wasn't too difficult, I'd say average. They were also good to talk to, which I appreciated.
- What are your 5-year career aspirations?
Manager Trainee
A store manager reached out to me after seeing my resume on a school job site. I spoke with the store manager and a regional recruiter. It was a pretty chill interview, honestly felt like a waste of time. They didn't really talk about the job itself, it was more of a 'get to know you' kind of thing. Since I hadn't actually applied for this specific role, I was hoping to learn more about it during the interview. The regional recruiter ended by saying it was up to me to decide what to do next, which I found a bit off-putting and made me less interested in the position.
- Can you name three colors that you feel describe your personality?
Sales Associate
First, talk about your life story and how you got to where you are, including family, friends, and hobbies. Then, we'll get into formal questions about how you'd handle situations and some personality-based questions. It wasn't super technical, but it covered the important stuff a hiring manager needs to know to find a good fit.
- How would you describe yourself using only three colors?
Manager In Training
They got back to me super fast to set up the interview. The first interview with the assistant manager went great, and I was called back for a second interview with the store manager, which also went well.
- Tell me about yourself.
- What do you know about our business and this store?
- Do you have any questions for us?
