Solutions Manager
The interview process was quite engaging. It started with an HR screen, followed by a discussion with two HR representatives. The main interviewer was great, asking insightful, non-standard questions and showing deep knowledge of the company and role. The other interviewer seemed disengaged. Afterward, I was given a solutions demo to prepare. Upon arrival, there was no laptop provided, so I had to use my own. After what I felt was a strong interview, the HR person said I'd be contacted in 2-3 days. Surprisingly, I didn't hear back. Two weeks later, I followed up and received an apologetic email asking for a few more days. It's been about two months with no further contact. My advice is that a great process and culture are worthless if the frontline staff can't demonstrate basic professional conduct.

Solutions Manager
It started with a phone call and then a meeting with someone called the 'People Person.' Then I had a 60-minute in-person interview at their office. They got back to me right away with an offer to do a demo project, and then a date to present it. This is where it got weird. They gave me a 1-page document with really unclear instructions about the demo/presentation. I ended up spending over 6 hours on this project, on top of my full-time job. When I got to the demo, they had a bad laptop that didn't have WiFi. I had to log into my email to get files I'd already sent them. Then they started pretending to be a client, which was totally unexpected since the instructions didn't mention it at all. On top of that, one of their staff members, a really arrogant guy, barely said anything until then. He asked me about timelines and costs, and I was really confused because I'm presenting about a fake company and have no idea what resources or developer time would be needed for a timeline. I know from project management that you can't give commitments without allocated resources. Plus, how am I supposed to know their procedures without working there first? Every new job has a learning curve. They didn't hire me because I couldn't provide a timeline or scope sheet, which wasn't even part of the demo at that point. It's funny because I have over 12 years of marketing and project management experience. They hire by committee, which is always awkward, and there's usually one person who just doesn't like you. This company is all hype, like a fraternity, and I guess this was their hazing. Definitely not worth the time or effort.
- Could you provide an estimated timeline for the implementation of this project?
Manager
The phone interview was okay - they asked some pretty good questions, I think they interview everyone who applies. The onsite interview was a terrible setup though. The interviewers had an arrogant and know-it-all attitude and seemed unprepared for the interview.
- What are your hobbies?
