The interview process was a little lengthy; first a phone interview that was more of a getting to know you, then I got a request for a demo interview after 2 weeks. I had a week to prepare for the demo and put a lot of effort into it, and when I presented it, I got really great feedback. The next day, I got an email from the hiring manager to schedule the culture interview, which was my favorite part, it was super chill and a lot of laughter. Later that day, I got an email for background check and references. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

The interview process was great, and the recruiter got back to me very quickly after each stage of the interview. Really appreciate the quick turnaround! There are four stages to the interview: 1) Call with Recruiter 2) Video chat with the hiring manager 3) Demo 4) Cultural interview The demo interview was a fun part of the interview stage as it allows you to showcase your skills and I had a great time presenting the demo. I recommend setting aside a good amount of time prepping for the demo. At each stage, I was able to chat with different people on the team, and everyone was very welcoming and kind. Overall, a positive interview experience! For the demo, I recommend spending a good amount of time on it, use resources (Google, Trailblazers, etc) to get comfortable with the material you are assigned, and lastly have fun with it!

I had a screen call over the phone where the questions were basic, almost like a personality test. They asked me to name a project I'm most proud of, even though I had already shared my career story. I thought a more specific question about the project would have been better. Then there was a face-to-face interview with an HR recruiter. The invite showed 4 people, but only 1 showed up. The questions were similar: background stories, what I like to do for fun, my most proud project. Maybe there were skill-specific questions, but nothing out of the ordinary. After that, there was a panel interview with a case study, followed by a brunch interview. Overall, it didn't feel like they were really trying to get to know me, even with all the behavioral and personality questions. It seemed like they were just asking because it was on a script. The job description was also too broad, and they weren't clear about what they were looking for. That's probably why I didn't get the job. My resume and the job description seemed like a good match, but during the interview, it felt like they wanted something more specific but wouldn't say what. I've had interviews where I connected well with the hiring manager or recruiter because they genuinely wanted to hire me and get to know me. This time, it felt like an obligation – like I'm interviewing you because you're in my pipeline and I need to qualify you, but I already know we're not moving forward.
