I had four one-hour interviews. They covered my experience, coding abilities, system design knowledge, and how I'd fit culturally. Interestingly, the interviewers were from a different team than the one I applied to. Unfortunately, I didn't get an offer, and I'm still not sure why since they just sent a generic email with no specific feedback. It felt like a waste of time because I didn't really learn anything from the interviews.

It was okay generally. They give you an idea of what to expect in next stage of the interview. I had a fantastic conversation on each stage of the interview until I suddenly didn't get any updates from them again. fast forward to 3 weeks later when I tried reaching out to them and I still got ghosted. They sounded like they were really worth it and they really may be. But the least they could have done was give a feedback on the interview on whether they are proceeding or not. Its not proper to just ghost people during recruitment, a rejection email is the least you can do.

I really liked how the process went! Unlike many places that just grill you with questions, Tractable's process felt like a conversation, and all the interviewers seemed genuinely interested in my background, not just the technical bits. It was quite a few sessions though. Started with a recruiter call, then a competency interview, followed by a take-home test, then a machine learning and statistics interview, and finally a values chat with a Senior Manager. It ended with a feedback call with the recruiter.
