Technical Behavioral

The security team asked some really tough technical questions, so you better know your stuff. They're pretty good at finding out what you don't know. My advice is to research and stick to what you're comfortable with. It felt like a mix of technical, behavioral, and situational questions. The HR part was rough though, left a bad impression. Even though I got through both technical interviews (phone and in-person), things went south during negotiations. Their attitude and lack of flexibility made me not want to deal with them anymore. I heard from colleagues to be wary, but I wanted to see for myself because the role was so interesting. The main reason I turned down the offer was knowing I couldn't handle that kind of HR department, especially given how they acted before I was even an employee. Definitely stay away from Tracfone.

I was contacted by Maria, a senior recruiter. She was really nice and made the interview feel more like a chat than a technical test. She's clearly an experienced interviewer, asking clear and specific questions. She let me elaborate and clarify my answers when I needed to. Even though she wanted objective answers, she was also assessing my leadership style. It seems the company cares about hiring people who have the right knowledge and skills, as well as fitting in with the team. I felt pretty relaxed and confident during the interview because of how she conducted it.

Behavioral

An outside recruiter set up an interview for a Senior contract-to-hire role with a Department Manager. However, I ended up speaking with a new employee (less than 3 months) who was much lower level. It turned out the position was much lower and only a temporary fill-in for someone on sick leave. The interviewer got embarrassed trying to explain the mismatch, essentially saying I was overqualified, which I was. The interview ended awkwardly.

Behavioral Case

The whole interview process took a while. It was great because the HR manager worked with you to find the best open position at the company that would best fit you- even if you weren't interviewing for it in the first place. I originally interviewed for the Business Analyst position, and based on my qualifications I ended up being hired on as a Market Research Manager. I am getting a very good vibe from the company thus far.
