Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TraceSecurity.
Information Security Analyst
They hit me with some risk and security questions, plus networking ones. I got to ask them stuff too. Then they said there would be a written part: technical and non-technical writing. It's an entry-level gig.
- Could you compare and contrast quantitative and qualitative approaches to risk/security scenarios?
- What is the full name for VPN?
- What is the purpose of a VPN?
Information Security Analyst
After they reviewed my resume, I got a callback after a couple weeks. Then I had a phone interview with my direct supervisor. Following that, I went in for an onsite interview where I met with the team leader (who didn't ask technical questions) and my direct supervisor (who did ask technical questions).
- Can you explain the OSI model?
Security Analyst
Had a phone call with directors and the technical manager. I felt like they wanted to get a feel for my past experiences and my willingness to travel. The interviewers were nice but not super technical, which could be good if you have relevant experience.
- Can you tell me about your preferences and previous work history?
- How do you feel about travel requirements for the role?
