Accounts Manager
So I started with an aptitude test in Birmingham, which was the first stage. It wasn't too tough, but honestly, it could have been done online. Then, they invited me for an interview in Leeds, which was nice as they paid for my travel. The journey was about 4 hours total. I got there early, but the interviewer was running late. The interview itself was just a casual chat about my CV; they didn't ask any standard interview questions like 'tell me about a time when...'. It only lasted about 15 minutes. They said they'd pass my CV on and I'd get a second interview if I was successful. The interviewer didn't even take notes, so I doubt they passed on much extra info. It felt pretty pointless, getting me excited for nothing. The interviewer was nice, and the building was too, but it was just a waste of time. I didn't get a second interview, which I assume would have been the real one, so I don't get why they did the first one. Not a terrible experience, just felt like a pointless step. I didn't even learn much for future interviews since it was just a chat.

It was a horrific interview process. Things started off okay, I got along with everyone until I met the MD. She was the most unprofessional person I've ever encountered, incredibly dismissive and rude, and I felt uncomfortable the entire time. Another thing that should have been a red flag was the explanation of the lateral employment structure, where you have the same job title for 12 years and only your responsibilities change. After reading other reviews, I realize I was right to trust my gut about how unprofessional the whole company is.

The exam included a variety of questions, from literacy to numeracy, in different formats like multiple choice and written answers. If you pass the written exam, you'll have an interview.

- Did the exam include numeracy questions?
- Were you asked competency-based thinking questions?
