Intern
Applied online for internships through their portal. Sent in a CV and cover letter, but it seems they only wanted the CV. Got invited to Leeds for an interview. First, a lady sorted out expenses with me. Then, I had to do a maths test that I had to finish in 20 minutes. It was mostly easy with simple stats, algebra, and geometry, but got harder towards the end. After that, I had a 2 on 1 interview where one person asked loads about my CV, programming languages, and what the company does. Definitely know what the company does because it came up. The other person just took notes. Finally, I was asked a logic question to solve.
- What is the minimum number of balls you need to draw to correctly label the three boxes (red, blue, mixed) given that all labels are currently wrong?
Intern
It was a pretty easy interview process, involving a logic and reasoning test where I was asked about 30 questions. Each question presented a set of images and I had to pick the one option out of five that best fit the pattern of the other images.
- Could you organize these tasks to avoid any scheduling conflicts?
Industrial Placement Student
So the whole process started with me sending in my cover letter, where I talked about why I wanted to do the job and how I was a good fit, along with my CV. A specific thing they wanted was for applicants to have a full UK driving license and a car that was fully insured. Then there was a phone call where they checked my right to work, followed by a face-to-face interview.
- Can you elaborate on your motivations and suitability for this role?
- Are you in possession of a full UK driving license and a fully insured vehicle?
- Could you verify your eligibility to work in the UK?
