I had to travel for ages to get to this company for an interview that started late and was super short. The interviewer didn't even introduce themselves, which was unprofessional. And making me travel 8 hours round trip for a first interview that could have been done online? They said most meetings are online now, even with their 'in the office every day' policy and the requirement to live nearby if you get the job. Apparently, it's for system issues, but it's not even a coding job! It makes no sense for a role that's about keeping customers happy and getting new ones. They probably realized I wasn't keen on the company, so I didn't get a second interview, even though I thought I did okay on the questions. This place really has a bad vibe.

The hiring journey kicks off with an in-person logic and reasoning test that takes an hour. Unfortunately, there's no travel reimbursement for this initial stage. If you pass this, they'll ask for your CV and academic results via email. This part feels a bit rough since you've already invested time and money to take the test, and you might still get turned down. It seems like a way to avoid looking through tons of CVs before testing. After that, you have to head to Horsforth for an in-person interview, but this time travel costs are covered. My interview was super short, only 15 minutes, and the interviewer was 30 minutes late without an apology, although they were nice. I was interviewed by someone already in the role. They asked me what I knew about the company, my grasp of the job, what I do in my free time, my favourite part of university, the biggest hurdles for a company like TPP, and some other standard stuff. I also got to ask my own questions. The interviewer insisted there were zero downsides to the job at TPP. Apparently, if you do well, you're supposed to come back for another interview, which just seems like a really inefficient way to do things – why not just have a longer interview while I'm already there? Maybe it's to avoid rejecting me face-to-face. A few days later, I got an email saying they weren't moving forward with my application. The worst part? No feedback because it's 'not company policy,' which really means they just don't bother. I felt I did a decent job answering the questions. It was a frustrating and outdated process that made me feel like all the time and effort I put in was for nothing.

You start with an aptitude test that checks your basic math and logic skills. If you pass, you'll have an interview on the same day. This interview is pretty quick and they'll want to know why you want to work at TPP, what you know about TPP, and will ask some simple riddles where you have to show how you think to answer them.
