First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Toyota Material Handling.
Computer Vision Software Engineer
It started with a technical screen with a senior engineer, covering C++ basics. Then there was a 4-hour onsite where they really dug into problem solving, multithreading, and computer vision stuff like precision.
- Can you list the different kinds of thread locks available in C++?
Supply Chain Co-Op
The interview process included an initial screening call, and then a short, in-person meeting with the lead. It was a pretty standard interview covering a lot of soft-skill questions about handling workplace disputes, what makes a good workplace environment for you, and your motivation for applying to the role.
- Can you share any relevant experience from work or school that would help you in this position?
- Tell me about a time you had to handle a dispute at work.
- What are your expectations for a workplace environment?
Logistics Engineer
First, a quick introductory phone call with HR. It was a smart, fast, intelligent, and concrete conversation. Second, an interview with the direct manager and their superior. These individuals were highly professional and asked pertinent, very intelligent questions, also revealing a humane side that was definitely not a given. Truly one of the best interviews of my life.
- Tell me about your work experience.
- Can you briefly touch upon Lean concepts and provide some practical application examples, such as in a supermarket setting?
Business Analyst
I interviewed at Toyota Material Handling. Two interviewers spoke with me. I answered all their questions about my relevance to the role. One interviewer seemed to like my previous work experience. I think I didn't do too well on their current project work, as I had very little info about it and their website didn't mention anything either. Also, the pay offered was quite low.
- Could you tell me about your previous work at XYZ company?
- What is your understanding of TMH?
- What projects is TMH currently involved in?
