First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Toyo Tire North America.
Staff Accountant
So, there were three interviews total. First, a quick phone call, then a team meeting, and finally an in-person chat. The recruiter was really helpful in getting me to this point. You'll meet with the manager of the department and they'll ask you questions about the job.
- If you had a critical project due and were juggling multiple tasks, how would you handle the multitasking to ensure it gets done on time?
Safety Specialist
Applied for the position. Had an HR phone screen and then an on-site interview. There was a significant delay in hearing back after the final interview, and then I was ultimately denied. They initially bring in a large group for the first round, but narrow it down to just two candidates for the final stage. This leaves many candidates waiting a long time without an update on their status. I spoke with both the HR recruiter and the HR manager. A site tour is only provided upon hiring. I wasn't offered the job, but I would have accepted it. It seems like a nice place with good opportunities for learning and development.
- What are some standard interview questions you were asked?
- It was great that there were no STAR method questions.
Manufacturing Technician
At first, the process was pretty well put together. I was set up to complete an assessment test, and then I had an interview. After the interview, they said I'd know something back within 4 weeks. It's been 5 weeks, and I got a call from someone in HR who asked me to call her back. I tried calling her more than 25 times, leaving my name and number each time, but I never got a response.
- Would you be open to working a rotating shift schedule?
Receiving Associate
The first interview was held at the Goodwill in Cartersville and lasted about 30 minutes. It wasn't too difficult; she did most of the talking. When she saw my experience working in receiving, she told me that I'd be perfect for their receiving department. Apparently, management felt different, because I got an email the next morning saying that they weren't interested.
- Can you work long shifts?
