Account Manager
This was a really strange interview process. An external team handled everything from beginning to end. It felt like nobody was on the same page and important information was getting lost.
- Can you describe your previous experience?
- What was your sales volume like in your past positions?
Programmatic Account Manager
This interview process was a mess, really unprofessional and disorganized. It dragged on for over a month, and this was even with an employee referral from someone solid. It started with a phone call from the recruiter, then I had an in-person interview at their NY office that lasted 3 HOURS with 6 people. After all that, I didn't hear back for 2 WEEKS, and then they wanted me to come back to meet one more person from the team who wasn't there originally. They said I'd know their decision in a few days, but it's been almost another two weeks and still nothing. I had the right experience, great references, and the referral, but the whole thing felt super unprofessional.
- How do you cope with stress?
Account Manager
The interview process was pretty lengthy. I submitted my application online, was contacted by HR for an informal preliminary interview. Then, an interview with the hiring manager was set up, and then an interview with the department head. There was a lot of communication in-between interviews, especially from the HR rep, which was not a bad thing at all. I felt very kept-in-the-loop. Something I realized is that the people at Townsquare Media have a very specific vision for the people that they intend to hire in each position, and if you fit that, they invest themselves wholly in getting the process complete & an offer to you. If they realize you may not be the best fit, they extend the courtesy of an e-mail notifying you that the position has been filled. The interview questions were the same as most places; they just want to see that you've done your homework and genuinely know what the company does, are interested in learning anything you don't already know, and are fully aware of what you're applying for. Do your homework before the interview & make sure to have questions prepared! It's not difficult, just lengthy, which could make it difficult.
- Tell me about your strongest and weakest qualities in the workplace.
