Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TOTVS.
Software Engineer
The selection process had three different conversation stages, each with different goals — from a more general profile assessment to a technical and cultural alignment approach. During the interviews, the impression conveyed was one of interest and continuity, as progressing to the third stage normally indicates a more rigorous pre-selection. Despite this, the most significant downside was the lack of response after the last conversation. There was no feedback, whether positive or negative, which creates a feeling of neglect and lack of consideration for the candidate.
- What is your experience level with Delphi and other programming languages?
Software Developer
It started with an introduction and then some behavioral questions, then the technical assessment with practical programming exercises and analysis of algorithms and data structures, then project discussion and some additional technical questions.
- Tell me about algorithms, like binary search, sorting, manipulating lists, trees, or graphs.
Senior Developer
It started with a recruiter reaching out on LinkedIn, getting my number and sending a WhatsApp message. The interview stages were really simple. First, a call with HR, mostly about personal stuff. Then, a call with the area manager, a more technical interview. Overall, the interview was very chill, no beating around the bush, always straight to the point, as it should be.
- Tell me about the most challenging project you've been a part of.
