Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TotalEnergies.
Software Engineer
The interview process was pretty standard. It involved confirming my experience, expectations, and how well I fit the role. I'd recommend using the SMART method for answering. I also completed a personality test beforehand. Overall, it was similar to other hiring processes I've been through. It included an interview with an HR analyst followed by a technical meeting.
- What are your short and medium-term goals?
Software Developer
Test RH puis technique, les gens sont courtois. On est assis sur une chaise et on discute avec les RH et le lead tech. Le poste était senior développer en Java.
- Can you explain inner and outer joins?
- Is it the JVM that transforms bytecode into machine language?
- What are your thoughts on the company?
Software Engineer
I was contacted about two weeks after applying and the interview was scheduled for a month later. It was a 30-minute interview that felt like a bit of a waste of time because they seemed to only be interested in candidates with prior experience in the field. The HR person asked some really drawn-out and unnecessary questions, but the hiring manager was pretty chill to chat with.
- What are three future goals you have, how do you plan to achieve them, and what role can the company play in helping you reach them?
