Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TotalEnergies.
Intern
The interview was with the department manager and lasted about 45 minutes. It didn't involve technical questions, focusing more on my CV and general case studies. I heard back about two weeks later and was told I didn't get the position because I was a first-year master's student.
- Can you tell me about your experience X from your CV, explaining what you did and what you learned in two minutes?
Student Assistant
I had 1 in-person interview at the office. The HR assistant and the department manager were there. They reached out to me online and asked me to complete a personality test and a rational test. The results were discussed during the interview, and I was asked to explain my personality.
- What are the three main things your friends would say about you?
Intern
I was contacted by someone on LinkedIn for an interview. After that initial chat, I didn't hear back. It was a one-on-one meeting, and the questions were logical and standard. I also had another interview that was arranged through my university. However, I haven't heard anything back from that one either. This second interview was with two people and only lasted about 10 minutes, so it was very quick. I haven't received any updates from either of these opportunities.
- Why should we choose you over other candidates?
