First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TotalEnergies.
Analyst
The interview was a mix of technical and behavioral questions. They wanted to know about my subject matter expertise in structuring energy deals. They also asked me to share lessons learned, skills I've developed, and insights from my previous work in the energy industry.
- Can you explain how you would go about structuring an energy deal?
Lead Analyst
The interview had 3 parts. First was a technical assessment, which I had 3 days to complete but it was not timed. Second was competencies and economic based questions. Third was HR competencies based questions. Each interview round was about an hour.
- Can you share an instance where you faced a setback? Describe how you managed it and what the final result was.
Analyst
It was a 3-stage process that took about 3 weeks to a month. First was a round with the Hiring Manager where there were more technical queries. Then the Head of Department interviewed me, which had fewer technical questions and focused more on cultural fit. Finally, HR also asked less technical questions and focused on cultural fit.
- Questions about your job experience and technical skills.
- Questions assessing your cultural fit for the team.
