First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Total Wine & More.
Front End Developer
It was a pretty thorough interview process for a part-time/seasonal job. They had me take a personality test, a drug test, and they also did a background check. I thought it was a good way to screen people to build a team that works well together, like the staff and management do.
- Have you ever disagreed with a previous manager, and if so, how did you deal with it?
- Were you successful in changing your manager's perspective?
Front End Developer
It took about a month to get confirmation about the job offer. I had to follow up multiple times with the store. The communication from the employer to the potential employees was lacking. I wasn't formally offered the job; I found out I was scheduled to work through a friend.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Front End Developer
I spoke with an assistant manager who asked me standard questions from a form. Then I met with another assistant manager who told me about the company and we chatted about me. She gave me a personality test to fill out by hand. After it was graded in store, I answered follow-up questions based on my test results. I then signed off for a background check, and after receiving an email confirming it, I took a drug test. The drug test results would be available in 24 hours. I called on Tuesday after taking the test on Thursday and was offered the job.
- Could you tell me why you're interested in Total Wine?
- What relevant experience do you possess?
- What qualities define a good manager?
