Coding Technical Behavioral

The interview process started with an online assessment that included some simple C coding questions and snippets. The next day, there were three rounds: two technical interviews and one HR interview. The first technical round focused on branch-specific topics and basic C++ concepts like the four pillars of OOPs. They also asked me to write about 7-8 simple C++ programs, such as checking for a palindrome, reversing a string, and implementing a stack. Additionally, I was asked questions about my previous projects.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • They primarily asked me questions related to C++.
  • They emphasized that proficiency in C and C++ is essential for working with them.

I got to the second interview. The first interview was just with HR. They asked me typical questions about my personality, why I'm in Japan, and my career goals. Even though I applied for the memory department, they unfortunately moved my application to the thermal plant department, which was a bit disappointing and made it hard to prepare. They also required a short presentation on a past project or research, which was with one HR person and a senior engineer.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • What's the reason you're in Japan?
  • How proficient are you in speaking Japanese?
