Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tory Burch.
General Manager
The interview process was quite long, involving 7 interviews spread out over a month. I spoke with peer GMs and the VP of stores. The recruiter kept me informed about the next steps.
- Can you outline your 30, 60, and 90-day plan and explain how you'll make an immediate business impact?
General Manager
It was a lengthy process, I had 6 interviews. It takes forever to move on to the interview and at the end you get ghosted. I emailed HR and never received a reply not even a rejection email. It’s disappointing as I know that the Buddy values don’t align with how I was treated.
- Why do you want to work for Tory Burch?
General Manager
The interview process was incredibly long, spanning over two and a half months. It involved two in-person interviews, two phone interviews, and one Skype interview. Throughout the process, I was given the impression that I was the chosen candidate. I even flew to their corporate offices for a five-hour interview with six different people, after which I heard nothing. I had to reach out to the recruiter myself to learn I wasn't selected. I'd suggest shortening the process and improving communication. Companies should be more honest and direct, as leading candidates on is no longer effective.
- Can you tell me about your greatest accomplishment?
