Sales Advisor
I applied online and got a call within 3 days to attend an assessment centre the next day. It was in Oxford circus at the flagship store. The interview was a large group setting with about 16-18 people and 3 interviewers, lasting around an hour and a half. It had 4 parts. First, an icebreaker where we partnered up with someone nearby to find out information and a weird common fact, then shared with the group. Second, we split into smaller groups of 3-4 to explore the shop floor, identify positives, suggest improvements, and propose how to present these ideas (e.g., song, dance, presentation). This was a chance to stand out. Third, in new groups of 3-4, we were given a scenario and a person to build an outfit for from selected clothes and then present it. Interviewers asked questions and presented new scenarios spontaneously, requiring quick thinking. This was my favorite part, as I enjoy styling and creativity, and it was good for group interaction. Finally, there was a short one-to-one interview, about 10 questions, discussing availability, contract type, and previous brand experience. My interview was on a Thursday, and I received a call on the following Monday offering me the job. The overall process was fun and relaxed, focusing on personality and teamwork.

Sales Assistant
We did a group activity where we had to choose an item of clothing and explain our choice and why we'd wear it. After that, I had a one-on-one interview. Honestly, the staff seemed really uninterested in what anyone was saying. I asked my interviewer about Topman and Topshop's core values, drawing a comparison to my previous experience at Nando's where we lived by pride, passion, integrity, courage, and family. Their response was, 'I don’t know. Working Christmas hours?'. This made me feel like the company doesn't value its individuals or employees.

Stockroom Assistant
The hiring team sent an email but didn't mention the dress code, so I wore a dress shirt, tie, and dress pants. To my surprise, everyone else was dressed casually when I arrived. The interviewer seemed laid-back and mentioned he'd follow up. Unfortunately, I didn't get the job, as I never heard back from them.

Stockroom Assistant
I got an email to book an interview time and date and I went to the flagship store in Oxford Circus. I met with the logistics team leader, was supposed to be a group interview but I was the only person that showed up. So he asked me a couple questions and then i just did a short trial in the stockroom.
- How would you handle a difficult customer?
