Business Development Representative
It was a 3 step process - a quick chat with a recruiter, then two back-to-back virtual interviews with two sales team members, and finally an in-person mock cold call role play interview. The recruiter call was pretty standard, felt like they were just reading from a list. The call with the sales team was more in-depth. One conversation was with a Sales Manager, and the other was with an Account Executive. It was helpful for understanding the job and their expectations. The last part was also straightforward. They provide info beforehand, like potential customer profiles, and then see how you manage the conversation, book the next meeting, and handle objections. If you practiced, it really shows.
- Can you share an instance of a failure or mistake you made and how you managed to overcome it?
Sales Development Representative
There were three rounds in total. Round 1 was an HR phone screening, covering general info, your background, personality, and motivations. Round 2 involved back-to-back interviews with a Senior SDR and then a Sales Manager, which is where I stopped. The Senior SDR interview focused on work style in a team setting, using mostly situational questions. The Sales Manager's interview tested selling experience and style more directly. There was also supposed to be a third round in person.
- How would you handle feedback from a sales colleague?
- What's your plan after making a mistake or dropping the ball?
GTM Associate
The interview process included a 4-hour take-home assignment. Following that, I was rejected and did not receive any feedback. This is the first time a company has required so much of my time and treated me this way. The rejection email stated they have a policy of not providing individual feedback to maintain consistency, which I wish they had disclosed upfront.
- Tell me about your experience and strategies.
- Design an email campaign for us.
Customer Success Manager
I had 2 interviews with Topline Pro. First, a 20-minute call where the interviewer was 10 mins late and gave no heads up. The next day, I found out I was invited to a skills assessment. This round had mock customer calls for 2 different customer examples. They gave the prompt and it was easy to follow. They gave feedback after each scenario, which was good. I got a rejection email 9 days later, but I wasn't interested either, so it was fine!
- Can you tell us about your experience assisting customers?
- How would you approach these mock customer calls?
- What's your background as a Customer Success Manager?
