Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TOPdesk.
Account Manager
Nice application, with good, targeted questions. The HR manager conducted the interview together with one of the management members. The application was concluded with an assignment. The purpose of the assignment is to test your analytical skills.
- Why do you want to leave your current employer?
Account Manager
First, there was a phone intake, followed by two to three more interview rounds. You also had to complete a case study with two interviewers present. During the interviews, they expressed some doubt about my account management experience. The interviewers felt that my project management experience would be a better fit for a role in the consultancy department. Because of this, I switched roles during the application process and ended up applying for the consultant position. I found it positive that TOPdesk is so open to your strengths and willing to genuinely consider the role that best suits you. I've never experienced that before!
- Between your consulting skills and your account management skills, which would be more difficult for you to abandon?
- Can you give some specific examples of projects you've worked on previously and what your role entailed in those projects?
Account Manager
After sending my cover letter and resume, I was invited for an interview at Topdesk. Big plus how the account manager and sales manager conducted the interview. I felt very comfortable, making the conversation feel like I was already employed and it was a meeting.
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
