First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Top Notch Consultants.
Account Manager
So this was a group interview held in a small office. Me and another person were asked the same questions. The interview itself wasn't bad, but the business is shady. It's DOOR TO DOOR SALES. You literally have to knock on people's doors to sell them FIOS upgrades. They called me for an interview for a completely different position than what was discussed during the interview. If you want to do door to door sales and gain some experience, this job is for you. I'm sure it's a good fit for some, but they were dishonest with me. I'd read reviews like mine before, but I wanted to see for myself. Trust the reviews, it's a waste of time unless you want to go into residential neighborhoods and knock on doors. I kept thinking about how many recent grads might be pressured into taking a job that turned out to be nothing like they expected. I read reviews similar to what I'm writing now on here, but still wanted to check it out for myself. Trust the people on here, this is a waste of your time unless you want to go into residential neighborhoods and knock on doors.
- What makes you the best candidate for this role?
Account Manager
I applied online and got a recruiter call to schedule an interview. When I got there, it was a group interview with one of the managers, and there were two of us interviewing. The company seemed successful and passionate. However, at the end, they told me I'd be working 9 AM to 9 PM Monday through Friday, and 9 AM to 6 PM on Saturdays, with the last 8 hours spent doing door-to-door sales leads. It wasn't the right fit for me. I got a call for a second interview, but I turned it down.
- Based on your past experience, what qualifies you for a leadership role?
Account Manager
This interview process is a 3-step thing. I started with a phone interview, then a 1:1 in-person meeting. After that, I got to shadow for a day, which was pretty cool. A few days later, they let me know I got the job offer. It was a pretty straightforward interview experience overall. The people and managers were great and made it enjoyable, but the role just wasn't the right fit for me.
